Traveling the world is full of excitement, but not every trip goes exactly according to plan. Travel insurance can provide a wide variety of benefits to give you peace of mind when booking the trip of your dreams.

Whether traveling for business or pleasure, solo or with family, planning a relaxing stay at the beach or an adventurous trek through the mountains, there is a travel protection plan for everyone. But with so many plan options and companies, how do you know which one to pick? It largely depends on the type of traveler you are and the type of trip you’re taking. IMG’s iTravelInsured travel protection plans provide varying coverage levels, and below we’ll break down which one could be the right fit for you.

Family Vacation

Traveling alone is expensive enough, but when you’re traveling with a family, you could be looking at several plane tickets, hotel accommodations, activities, and more. It can add up quickly! While you may be excited to make memories with your kids, it’s natural to have concerns about how much you’re spending.

iTravelInsured Travel SE and iTravelInsured Travel LX plans can be great for family travel, and their trip cancellation benefits can refund up to 100% of your prepaid, non-refundable trip costs if your trip is cancelled for a covered reason.

Business Travel

If you’re traveling for business, you may care more about what you’re bringing with you than where you’re going and when you get there. iTravelInsured Travel LX and iTravelInsured Travel SE offer great benefits if you arrive in town, but your bags don’t. If your bag is delayed a certain number of hours or is lost or stolen, these benefits may reimburse you for the costs to buy necessary items up to the maximum benefit amount. That means you can go out and replace your office-appropriate clothes, instead of showing up in the T-shirt you wore on a 12-hour plane ride.

Budget Conscious

If you’re looking for travel protection on a budget, iTravelInsured Travel Lite and iTravelInsured Essential can be beneficial options for you. iTravelInsured Travel Lite offers a lesser variety of benefits (some subject to a lower maximum benefit amount) at a lower price point than Travel SE and Travel LX. However, it still includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, coverage for baggage delays, and access to non-insurance emergency travel assistance services.

Pet Owners

iTravelInsured Travel SE and iTravelInsured Travel LX offer benefits specifically for those with pets. Pets are like family, but unfortunately, they can’t always travel with us. While away from home, you may need to board your dog at a commercial kennel. If your flight home is delayed by a certain number of hours, pet kennel benefits can help you cover the costs of extended boarding until you’re able to make it home. Travel SE offers up to $100 per day with a $300 maximum per pet, while Travel LX offers $100 per day with a $500 maximum per pet. These plans also offer trip cancellation and trip interruption benefits if a pet or service animal suffers a sickness, injury, or death.

No matter your reason for traveling, it’s beneficial to purchase travel protection as soon as you make a trip deposit or payment. Want to learn more about each iTravelInsured travel protection plan?
